A couple embracing in a green field

FAQs

The questions couples ask us most

We’ve put together a few thoughtful answers to some of the questions you may have.

How early should we book our wedding photographer?

For most Indian weddings, we recommend reaching out as soon as you have your wedding dates and venues reasonably confirmed. Ideally, 6–12 months before the wedding date. For popular dates and weekend weddings during the wedding season, it is always better to enquire earlier.

That said, if your wedding is only a few weeks away, and you haven’t booked yet, don’t worry. Please get in touch with us. Availability changes from date to date, and we’re always happy to check.

How much does wedding photography cost, and why do prices vary so much?

There isn’t one universal price for wedding photography because every wedding is different. The investment can depend on the number of event days, hours of coverage, team size, number of photographers and cinematographers, the level of post-production involved, albums, films and other deliverables.

Two photographers may quote very different amounts for what appears to be similar coverage because the people, process, creative approach and final experience can be very different.

We’d rather understand your wedding first and recommend the right coverage than give you a generic package that may not suit your celebration. The starting investment price is 70,000 INR per day.

Can we see a complete wedding gallery rather than just selected photographs?

Absolutely and we encourage you to ask for one. A few beautiful photographs can tell you what a photographer is capable of. A complete wedding gallery tells you much more about how they actually tell a story.

Look at an entire celebration from beginning to end. Notice how they handle getting ready, rituals, family photographs, couple portraits, large groups, low-light situations, dancing and all the unplanned moments.

It is one of the best ways to understand whether the photographs you see online genuinely represent the kind of work you can expect from your wedding.

How many photographers and videographers do we need for our wedding?

There is no magic number. The right team depends on your guest count, number of functions, venues and how much is happening simultaneously.

For example, if the couple are getting ready at different locations while family members are arriving at the venue, having more than one photographer/videographer allows those moments to be documented without having to choose one over the other.

A larger team isn’t automatically better. What matters is having enough people to cover your wedding properly without making the experience feel intrusive. We’ll recommend a team based on the scale and schedule of your celebration.

Do you offer both candid and traditional photography?

Yes, we believe a meaningful wedding documentation needs both.

Candid photographs preserve moments that happen naturally. The expression on your parent’s face, your friends laughing during the sangeet, your grandparents watching a ceremony or the little interactions you may not even notice on the day.

But some photographs deserve to be intentional too. Your parents, grandparents, siblings, cousins and extended family may have travelled from different parts of India or the world to be there. A group photograph with them may become incredibly valuable over time.

Our approach combines candid visual storytelling along with thoughtfully directed portraits and family photographs, so you don’t have to choose between the two.

Do you provide RAW or unedited photographs?

Our standard delivery consists of professionally selected and edited photographs. RAW files are essentially working files rather than finished photographs, and they don’t represent the final visual quality or creative direction of our work. Hence, RAW files aren’t part of our standard delivery.

If receiving RAW files is important to you, it’s best to discuss this before booking so expectations are clear from the beginning.

Will the photographer we speak to actually photograph our wedding?

We truly understand that knowing who will be behind the camera matters. One of our promises to our couples is that the person you build a relationship with during the planning process will, in most cases, be the person photographing your wedding day. We believe that familiarity creates trust and allows us to tell your story more naturally.

We also take on only one or two weddings or events at a time, so every celebration receives our full attention. This allows us to prepare thoughtfully, be fully present and maintain the quality and care we believe your wedding deserves.

For larger celebrations, additional photographers or cinematographers may join the team depending on the scale and schedule. We’ll always be transparent about who will be there and their role.

Because for us, wedding photography is personal. We don’t want you to simply hire a brand; we want you to know the people who will be there to preserve your memories.

Do you travel for weddings outside your city? If so, what additional costs should we expect for a destination wedding?

We love travelling for weddings and are available for celebrations across India and internationally, subject to availability.

Whether it’s a palace wedding in Rajasthan, a beach celebration in Goa, a traditional wedding in Coimbatore, a city celebration in Mumbai or Delhi, a mountain wedding in Sikkim, or a destination somewhere beyond India, we believe the place becomes part of the story.

Every destination has its own light, landscape, culture and rhythm. We take the time to understand each one and thoughtfully plan our photography and cinematography around the setting, the celebrations and the people who make them meaningful.

We also believe destination photography should come without surprises. Travel, accommodation, local transportation and any other applicable costs are discussed clearly with you before you confirm your booking, so you know exactly what to expect from the beginning.

We’re not comfortable in front of the camera or photogenic. How do you help couples feel at ease?

Most couples aren’t professional models and you don’t need to be.

We’ll give you direction when it helps, whether that’s finding good light, suggesting a simple movement or helping you feel more relaxed during portraits. At the same time, we don’t want your wedding to feel like one long photoshoot.

There will be moments when we’ll guide you and there will be many more when we’ll simply let you be together and photograph what happens naturally. The goal isn’t to make you perform for the camera. It’s to help you forget that the camera is there.

Do you cover intimate weddings, larger celebrations and everything in between?

Absolutely. For us, the number of guests or the scale of a celebration doesn’t determine how meaningful a wedding is. We photograph intimate, understated celebrations with just your closest people, as thoughtfully as we photograph grand celebrations with hundreds or even thousands of guests.

Whether your wedding is rooted in elaborate traditions and rituals, a simple non-ritualistic ceremony, or a joyful celebration filled with music, dancing and everyone you love, we approach each one with the same care. We simply take the time to see it, understand it and preserve it honestly.

Before the celebration, we’ll take the time to understand what matters to you, the people who matter most, and the moments you want remembered. This allows us to be prepared without ever making the day feel overly orchestrated.

From the quietly intimate to the wonderfully grand, we’re interested in the story within the celebration.

What should we know about the booking, contract and what happens if plans change?

We want booking your wedding photography to feel as considered and reassuring as the rest of the experience. From the beginning, we’ll make everything clear—from your coverage and photography team to the deliverables, payment schedule, travel and any other applicable costs.

Your agreement is designed to give both of us a clear understanding of what we’ve planned together, while leaving room for the natural changes that can happen as your wedding takes shape. If your plans evolve, we’ll work through them with you and find the best way forward.

We also take the responsibility of being there for your wedding very seriously. We plan carefully, prepare for the unexpected and have contingencies in place so that you can feel confident placing this part of your celebration in our hands.

Once everything is clear and confirmed, you can leave the logistics with us and simply look forward to being present for the people, moments and celebrations that matter most.

Do you offer analogue or film photography for weddings?

Yes, available exclusively on demand.

There is something beautifully deliberate about photographing a wedding on film. The way it renders light and colour, the texture of the image, and the anticipation of waiting for a frame to reveal itself give analogue photographs a character that is difficult to replicate.

We offer analogue photography as a dedicated, on-request offering for couples who are drawn to the medium and want to make it a considered part of their wedding story.

Rather than treating film as an add-on, we approach it as a distinct photographic experience—with its own pace, process and visual language. It can be commissioned for an entire celebration or thoughtfully woven into selected moments alongside our digital coverage.

For us, film isn’t about nostalgia. It’s about making photographs with a sense of permanence, intention and soul.
